Ramakkalmedu Sight Seeing , Vagamon , Vagamon to Kochi drop

Kerala is referred to as God’s own country.Vagamon- It is indeed a beautiful mixture of its colonial past and the serenity of nature  is a hill station located in KottayamIdukki border of Idukki district of KeralaIndia. It has a cool climate with the temperature between 10 and 23 °C during a summer midday. It is situated 1,100 metres above sea level. Vagamon was discovered by the British who found the place ideal for tea plantations and they were followed by Christian missionaries who built their abode of service at Kurisumala in Vagamon. Ramakkalmettu– Ramakalmedu stands tall in the Western Ghats at a height of 3500 feet above sea level. The ecosystem of the area consists largely of grass land Shola forest type which is laced by sporadic bamboo forests.

Day 1 : Ramakkalmettu

Upon arrival to Kerala, our representative will greet you at the Cochin International Airport, Ernakulam Junction railway station in Kochi. You will be taken to your hotel Ramakkalmettu first for check-in. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 2 : Ramakkalmedu Sight Seeing

After breakfast, we will drive to Ramakkalmedu. Ramakalmedu is a historic site with a Monument to Kuravan and Kurathi – a large statue that depicts the Sangam Period and Sangam landscape of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The monument provides a panoramic view of Tamil Nadu villages and towns, including Cumbum, Theni, Kombe, Thevaram, Uthamapalayam, Bodinaykannor and VaigaRolling green hills and the fresh mountain air make Ramakalmedu an enchanting retreat. The view is striking at dusk when all these towns are lighted. [Off Road Jeep safari is additional chargeable). Day-3: Ramakkalmedu to Vagamon

After breakfast, we will drive to Vagamon. Vagamon was discovered by the British who found the place ideal for tea plantations and they were followed by Christian missionaries who built their abode of service at Kurisumala in Vagamon.

Bible believers Assembly the church is located on Zion Nagar, Vagamon Upputha highway, this church is              established on 1971.The nearby Kurisumala Ashram is an abode of calm and spiritual delight. This hill area includes 12 sub mounds where pilgrims visit. You can enjoy trekking and climbing this high hill. The area is fully surrounded with Tea estates and lakes.Indo-Swiss Project Dairy Farms: Indo-Swiss Project dairy farms is situated on the Kurisumala hill. The dairy farm is managed by the Kurisumala monks (restricted entry).Vagamon Meadows: The rolling green meadows of Vagamon have a lake amidst them. It has for long been a favorite location for shooting movie songs.Pine Forests: A valley having huge lofty pine trees lined in rows.Mooppanpara: It is a v-shaped canyon, one of the admired view points as well acknowledged as a suicide point. The outlook from the summit of the strenuous climb is amazing. Murugan Hill: It is situated near to Thangal Para. A Murugan temple is situated which is devoted to Lord Muruga with gorgeous Stone Age carving. Paragliding and Paragliding Festival. Trekking, paragliding, mountaineering and rock climbing.

 

Day 4- Vagamon to Kochi drop

After breakfast, we will drive to Kochi, The striking port city of Kochi or Cochin is a tourist’s paradise. Fort Kochi, Bolgatty Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattancherry Palace, Marine Drive, Jewish Synagogue, Museum of Kerala History.After the sightseeing we will drop at airport/railwaystation.

 Package cost includes;-

  • Accommodation in well appointed room similar category on twin sharing basis on CPAI
  • A/c Private Car for all surface transfer & sightseeing for the above mentioned destinations.

  • Any air fare/train fare to the arrival or from the departure point.
  • Cost due to upgrading/charging hotels, room type, luxury car etc.
  • Any additional transportation which not mentioned in the itenery.

  • Expenses caused by factors beyond our control, like rail flight delays, road blocks.
