Thekkady – Ramakkalmedu

Kerala is referred to as God’s own country. It is indeed a beautiful mixture of its colonial past and the serenity of nature. Ramakkalmettu– Ramakkalmedu stands tall in the Western Ghats at a height of 3500 feet above sea level. The ecosystem of the area consists largely of grass land Shola forest type which is laced by sporadic bamboo forests Thekkady– Thekkady is located near to Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. The sanctuary is famous for its dense evergreen, semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savanna grass lands. It is home toherds of elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed Macaques and Nilgiri Langurs.
Day 1: Kochi -Thekkady
Upon arrival to Kerala, our representative will greet you at the Cochin International Airport, Ernakulam Junction railway station in Kochi. You will be taken to your hotel Thekkady first for check-in. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 2: Thekkady to Ramakkalmettu
After breakfast, we will drive to thekkady the most exciting part of this tour is a visit to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The special animals in this region include wild elephants, nilgiri langur monkeys, sambar deer, wild bison, and colorful birds. One of the main attractions is an optional boat ride at your own expense. Evening drive to Ramakkalmettu. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 3: Ramakkalmedu Sight Seeing
After breakfast, we will drive to Ramakkalmedu. Ramakalmedu is a historic site with a Monument to Kuravan and Kurathi – a large statue that depicts the Sangam Period and Sangam landscape of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The monument provides a panoramic view of Tamil Nadu villages and towns, including Cumbum, Theni, Kombe, Thevaram, Uthamapalayam, Bodinaykannor and VaigaRolling green hills and the fresh mountain air make Ramakalmedu an enchanting retreat. The view is striking at dusk when all these towns are lighted. [Off Road Jeep safari is additional chargeable) Tortoise Rock, Sollamala View point,Thoval Waterfalls, Grapes Garden,Adivaram Trekking-Anakaramettu. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day-4: Ramakkalmedu to Kochi Drop.
After breakfast, we will drive to Kochi, The striking port city of Kochi or Cochin is a tourist's paradise. Fort Kochi, Bolgatty Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattancherry Palace, Marine Drive, Jewish Synagogue, Museum of Kerala History.After the sightseeing we will drop at airport/railwaystation.
