Kochi , Munnar, Ramakkalmettu, Thekaddy , Houseboat in Kumarakom

Kerala is referred to as God’s own country. It is indeed a beautiful mixture of its colonial past and the serenity of nature. On your first day, you will get the chance to explore the town of Kochi – the gateway to the hills of South India. Munnar has a lot to offer with its tea gardens, waterfalls, the Shola forest and the Eravikulam National Park. Ramakkalmettu- Ramakalmedu stands tall in the western ghats at a height of 3500 feet above sea level. The ecosystem of the area consists largely of grass land Shola forest type which is laced by sporadic bamboo forests.Thekkady – Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary– a humble home to many wild animals and colorful birds. Stay overnight on a houseboat and experience the backwaters of Kerala.

Day 1: Kochi
Upon arrival to Kerala, our representative will greet you at the Cochin International Airport, Ernakulam Junction railway station in Kochi. You will be taken your hotel first for check-in. Kochi is one of few places in India that has managed to preserve the remnants of its colonial past with utmost care. The Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Jewish Synagogue and the Mattancherry Palace are just some of the things you’ll see. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 2: Kochi – Munnar
The day starts with breakfast at the hotel. With all its colorful landscape, breathtaking sights and mesmerizing view, Munnar is certainly a great destination to visit in God’s own country. The journey to Munnar is beautiful as the road stretches along the waterfalls. Check in to the Hotel, In the evening, you will get an opportunity to witness the icon of Kerala’s culture – a Kathakali & Martial Arts dance performance.

Day 3: Munnar
After breakfast at your hotel, you will start exploring Munnar by visiting the Eravikulam National Park, which is a famous habitat of the rare mountain goats called the Nilgiri Tahr. You will also visit Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point where you can see the lustrous green carpet of the tea garden. At the end of the day, you will return to the hotel for overnight rest.

Day 4  : Munnar to Ramakkalmettu
After breakfast, we will drive to Ramakkalmedu. Ramakalmedu is a historic site with a Monument to Kuravan and Kurathi – a large statue that depicts the Sangam Period andSangam landscape of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The monument provides a panoramic view of Tamil Nadu villages and towns, including Cumbum, Theni, Kombe, Thevaram, Uthamapalayam, Bodinaykannor and Vaiga. Rolling green hills and the fresh mountain air make Ramakalmedu an enchanting retreat. The view is striking at dusk when all these towns are lighted.  Day 5  : Ramakkalmedu – Thekaddy

After breakfast, we will drive to thekkady The most exciting part of this tour is a visit to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The special animals in this region include wild elephants, nilgiri langur monkeys, sambar deer, wild bison, and colorful birds. One of the main attractions is an optional boat ride at your own [Off Road Jeep safari is additional chargeable) – Tortoise Rock, Sollamala View point, Thooval Waterfalls, Grapes Garden,Adivaram Trekking-Anakaramettu. Back to hotel.

Day 6: Thekaddy – Houseboat in Kumarakom
After breakfast, the day is dedicated to exploring the magical backwater of Kerala. We will take you on board a beautiful houseboat to glide over the enchanting backwaters of Kerala. The night will be spent in the comforts of the houseboat itself and all meals are included during your stay on the houseboat.

Day 7: Houseboat in Kumarakom- Kochi
Breakfast at houseboat in the morning and check out. We will take you back to Cochin International Airport, Ernakulam Junction railway station in Kochi.
